Conlons has been established in Wigan since the December 1976 after acquiring the practice of Bernard Morris in Market Street. In December 1991 the branch moved into a temporary unit in the Makinson Arcade before relocating to our present unit which was opened by Ken Morley (Coronation Street’s Reg Holdsworth).
In the summer of 1995 we acquired the patient records from Boots Opticians who closed their Wigan practise and in July 2007 we increased our patient base by acquiring records from Andrew Peter Eyewear, an Independent Optician in the town. Conlons Wigan was refitted again recently, giving us a bright new store, offering fantastic Designer product.
Conlons has the largest range of designer frames and sunglasses in the town, stocking 18 different designer frame ranges including Chanel, Bvlgari, Christian Dior and Swarovski, and 12 ranges of designer sunglasses, as well as being a premier dealer for Oakley sports and sunglasses. Our Contact Lens Opticians specialise in fitting all types of contact lenses, including, soft, gas permeable, toric, multifocal and extended wear lenses.
We look forward to welcoming you in the future.
Seema, Joanne, Sarah, Kath and Joanne have over 90 years of optical experience between them and are happy to answer any questions you may have about eyecare or eyewear.
In Wigan we collect used postage stamps for Action for the Blind and unwanted spectacle for use by Vision Aid Overseas. We have and continue to support Action for the Blind in our charity work. |
