Conlons obtains all the goods it dispenses / sells from quality accredited authorised UK distributors and can therefore guarantee that the glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses we supply are genuine current UK models and are not discontinued, grey market imports, counterfeit or stolen.
We obtain spectacle lenses from top German manufacturer Carl Zeiss and from a few carefully selected independent laboratories in the UK. All our frames conform to CE and medical devices regulations. The complete spectacles, whether assembled in our own laboratories, or by specialist spectacle glazing companies, are rigorously checked for conformity to British Standard BS2738 and other standards when applicable. We are an accredited Zeiss Lens Specialist.
We only deal with recognised quality contact lens manufacturers and all the lenses we sell are made in state of the art production facilities mainly in the UK, Ireland and Germany. Our highly skilled contact lens opticians are experts in specialist contact lenses, and we are recognised as an Acuvue Centre of Excellence and exclusively supply Mirage brand contact lenses in our area.
We specialise in top quality sunglasses, often supplying premium brands such as Oakley, Chanel and Jimmy Choo exclusively in the town where we offer them. Counterfeit sunglasses are a growing and dangerous problem because behind a dark lens your eyes could be letting in up to 8 times more harmful UV radiation to the back of the eye if they do not conform to international standards on UV protection. With Conlons you can rest assured that your sunglasses are the genuine article.
We recruit and train the very best optometrists and opticians and by providing them with regularly maintained state of the art eye examination equipment we ensure a quality eyecare service. Our professionally qualified staff are all registered with the General Optical Council and are provided with more than the statutory level of continuing education and training each year. Additionally as an Investor in People we ensure all staff at all levels receive regular training in customer service and the latest innovations in eyecare and eyewear.
