All lenses can scratch if they are not looked after, however uncoated standard plastic lenses are particularly prone to scratching under normal use so we recommend a scratch resistant coating – this increases the hardness of the lens several times over but it's still not scratch proof. Many premium quality thinner lenses and Transitions come with scratch resistance as standard. |  |
